The Word of God is clear in Habakkuk 2:14:
The earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of The Lord as the waters cover the sea.
God’s glory-Kabod means “weight” which in essence translates to AUTHORITY, SPLENDOR, WEALTH, and IMPOSING INFLUENCE. Glory encapsulates all that God is and all that He has. It also refers to a good reputation, good standing and esteem. We are living in a season when the latter container will be filled a greater level of glory than the former. Haggai 2:9-The Glory of the latter temple will be greater than the former.
The temple is the container that carries the Glory of God. We, God’s remnant are carriers of this Glory. John 17: 22- And the glory which You gave Me, I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one. The glory has already been deposited in us. Adam and Eve walked in the Glory of God. Initially, they had an unhindered relationship with The Lord, they had dominion and authority. They had wisdom and understanding and could access the mind of God. Creation submitted to them and they walked in supernatural mental abilities to name everything in creation both plant and animal kingdom. That was God’s original intent concerning man that he would walk and live in His glory here on earth.
God is calling each of us up higher, not in our own strength and abilities but in His, to step out into a powerful future, exploding with miraculous signs, wonders and breakthroughs! The Glory is not something that we wait to drop on us. It does not come from outside, it has already been released from within us, to the world around us. We should wait no more! As His people, we must redeem the time as the coming of the Lord draws near, it is time to press in and release the supernatural power of God in us to impact the world around us. The earth is groaning and waiting for the body of Christ to release what is in us. Romans 8:19-For earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the Sons of God…….vs. 22-For we know that the whole creation groans and labours with
birth pangs together until now. You may ask the question, if the Glory is in me, what does that mean. Mighty Ones, it means that Christ is in you; His authority, splendor, the good news, wealth (wisdom and understanding) and the imposing influence of God. The Glory carriers therefore have authority of demonic powers and principalities and the authority to bind and to loose. No matter where you are, you can effect change for the advancement of God’s Kingdom here on earth.
God’s original intent is that man would have authority over the earth and for man to be reconciled back to Him. He deliberately crowned man with dominion and commissioned man to be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, subdue it, tend to it and keep it- Gen 2:15. The first man and woman were commissioned to spread the garden over all the earth. Adam and Eve forfeited their authority when they disobeyed God. When man gives up his authority by allowing Satan to deceive him, he gives Satan the right to have dominion over him. Satan attempted this again in Luke 4:6 when he tempted the Lord to rebel against His father and worship him (Satan). If Jesus bowed to the devil, He would have lost his dominion and Satan would have been victorious. But through Jesus’ death and resurrection, he took back all authority! Col. 2:14 – And having disarmed the powers (magistrate) and authorities, (jurisdiction),
He made a public spectacle of them, triumphant over them by the cross. So the battle for authority in the earth that started in the garden is over! Jesus triumphed over sin and death, stripping them of their authority over humanity and winning for Himself ALL AUTHORITY not only in the earth, but in heaven!
Matt 28:18- The Jesus came to them and said:
All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Jesus, having all authority, turns around and gives this authority to us to fulfil the DOMINION MANDATE to win back humanity from the grips of Satan and his cohorts. God is waiting on His people who are called by His name of accept that we are created to liberate mankind from sin, to give hope to a hopeless world, to bring righteousness in the midst of unrighteousness and to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to a dying world.
Since all authority has been given to us, why then do we ask Jesus to do for us what he has equipped us to do? We have the authority that God has given us, let us be bold as Sons of God and do what he has created and equipped us to do!
